About Us
Founded in November 1979 by Jean Kruse, Liz Sparks, and Carolyn Stephens, the Professional Women’s Network (PWN) sought to improve the upward mobility of women in the professional and business world. We remain dedicated to our founders’ ideals – women helping women strengthen professions, develop networks, and exchange knowledge.
Board of Directors
Numbering between 9 and 14 members, the PWN Board of Directors conducts the network’s business. Board members serve three-year terms, with a minimum of four members elected each year. Applicants for officer and board positions are solicited by the current Board, recommended by members, or self-nominated, based on applications submitted prior to the November General Membership Meeting each year.
