About Us
Founded in November 1979 by Jean Kruse, Liz Sparks, and Carolyn Stephens, the Professional Women’s Network (PWN) sought to improve the upward mobility of women in the professional and business world. We remain dedicated to our founders’ ideals – women helping women strengthen professions, develop networks, and exchange knowledge.

We are proud of this diversity of talents and interests, representing a wide range of service, product, and government industries in the Eastern Iowa Region.
We invite all professional women of Iowa to join our growing network and enjoy all the advantages afforded by PWN membership.
PWN Scholarships
Established to financially assist non-traditional female students, the Professional Women’s Network Scholarship Foundation also provides recipients with encouragement and emotional support from the organization’s members.
PWN Events
Our regularly scheduled general membership meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month and focused on sharing experiences and finding ways to improve professional development.
Additionally, we also hold irregular events scheduled throughout the year, offering additional opportunities for professional networking.
